What Do I Hide in My Heart

Heavenly Father I praise You for listening to me even when my day is rushed and I am not as calm as I should be. I praise You for knowing my heart and thoughts so that I do not have to take time to explain to You who I am or why I am coming to You. I ask today that You help me take command of my morning and day and shake all the evil out of it.

Holy Spirit the Psalmist wrote: Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. [Psalm 119:11, MEV] Help me to make this true in my life, especially when my mind and desires are under assault with temptations that I have not sought out. Help me to emulate Paul when he wrote: I will be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that my labor is not in vain. [1 Corinthians 15:58] By being busy doing Your will, engraving Your word into my memory and meditation, I am stronger with Your Spirit prompting me to either ignore, not even see, or steadfast in walking Your narrow path as I was created to do fulfilling my purpose in life.

For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!
