Heavenly Father we praise You for being our comfort when we hurt. To be our rock when the storms of life beat at us constantly trying to tear us down. To be our shield when temptation and false accusations are hurled at us. To be our friend in times of rejoicing. We praise You for being our light when we are lost and being our Father when we need correction and love.
Holy Spirit help me to take to heart what Christ spoke, and Luke recorded in his letter, when Christ said, “Remember, the kingdom of God is within you.” Help me to remember that I am a living temple where the Spirit of God resides. Let me live my life where Your Spirit shines through me and out to others. Help me to speak what the Holy Spirit prompts me to say. Show me how to act when around others so that I represent You with honor and dignity. Let me learn the wisdom You have for me and to gain understanding. Give me the ability to discern between good and evil.
Holy Spirit I and all others who are joining me in prayer ask for mercy and help to come to Haiti. Help the people to be safe and to find the food and help they need. Houses and building can be rebuilt, but people cannot be fixed so easily. Holy Spirit help the churches in the United States to lead the way in sending in supplies, money, and workers to help assist the Haitians in recovering their lives, those who have lost homes, have no food or shelter at all. Help us all to be ready to love on the least of these so that at the end of our life we will hear, “Welcome, my good and faithful servant.”
Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct your way.
