Heavenly Father I praise You for the opportunity to see family and friends and rejoice in the life of a dear friend and cousin. I praise You for being faithful to each generation and for the ones who lead the way before us. Help me to be faithful to pick up the torch and continue this leadership so that I can hand it off at the appropriate time to the next in line. I praise You for raising up new leaders and new evangelist and new lay people who can do Your work here on the earth and continue to pray and lift up Your name.
Holy Spirit our hearts continue to grieve for all the death and destruction in Haiti. We continue to ask for Your mercy and guidance on how to best help them. We also pray for those in our country who have fallen to Covid again and is being overwhelmed in different parts of our country. Help the veterans of the military as they return from war to be protected from this new variant of the virus. We ask also for mercy and protection for the people in Afghanistan. Father we ask if there is some way that You could demonstrate Your power in this land and stop the violence and all the killing and all the forced doctrine of the Taliban. We ask for divine intervention on behalf of the people there.
I Love the Lord my God with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind and with all my strength. [Mark 12:30] So I will take heed, watch and pray; for I do not know when the time is. [Mark 13:33] I will “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in a new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. [Mark 16:15-18(NIV)] Oh, Lord let it be so and let me stand on this promise from You and see this come to be with Your strengthening of my faith and those who pray with me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
