Heavenly Father I give You praise and all the glory for being my creator, savior, and king. I praise You for making me with a purpose in mind and a purpose to fulfill. I praise You for the desire of Your heart to know and seek a relationship with me. I praise You that I have learned to seek to know Your heart for I will never know or fully understand Your thoughts.
Christ told the people while here on the earth: But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. [Matthew 24:44; John 4:23] The writer of Hebrews reminds us: God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” [Hebrews 13:5]
Holy Spirit I may not know or even comprehend when and how the time of the world will end, but what I do know is that I serve and worship the one who offers me eternity and a home. I will step forward each day and do my best to live as a living sacrifice for Him, renewing my mind, taming my tongue, and forgiving so that I am ready, and keep my end of the relationship clear to the one I owe my whole life to.
The end of all things is near. Therefore, be clear-minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that God may be praised through Jesus Christ in all things. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11
