Jesus Enjoys Joy

Our Father, which are in heaven, You are worthy of our praise. Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise in the heights! Praise Him all His Angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him and hope in His mercy. [Psalms 148:1&2; Psalms 145:18; Psalm 147:11]

Holy Spirit I am so thankful that You can laugh with us as well as cry with us. You were sent to be our Comforter, but You are so much more to me. You walk and laugh with me when my heart soars and finds joy. I can relate to what was written: “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over me with gladness, He will quiet me with His love, He will rejoice over me with singing.” [Zephaniah 3:17] This year that is coming help me to listen with my spirit and my heart so that I can hear Your singing. Let my heart find real joy that can be the foundation on which I place my hope and faith. Let me walk with a heart of gratitude and joy so that I can help lift the burdens of others when I pray, talk, and respond to all who come into my life.

Indeed, in our hearts, we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a peril, and he will deliver us. On him, we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us with your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many things. Nevertheless, when anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. We live by faith, not by sight. Let this be so in my life, Amen. [2Corinthians 1:9-11; 2 Corinthians 3:16&17; 2 Corinthians 4:17&18; 2 Corinthians 5:7]
