Intercessory Prayer for Ron and Others

Heavenly Father, I praise You for today. I praise You for the opportunity to spend time with my grandchildren, then go over and preach at my brother’s church on Sunday, and then make it back for my granddaughter’s birthday. I praise You for giving me direction on what to say, and for keeping me awake, driving back and forth across the state.

Holy Spirit, Your word says: Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. [James 5:13-15] Ron approached me yesterday at church and asked that I pray for him and his bipolar disorder that he is suffering from. I ask for healing and pray with the others who pray this prayer with me, joining in asking for healing, comfort, and a clear mind. I also continue to ask for healing for Kayla with all of her medical issues. She has faithfully testified of who You are to

all who will listen. Continue to grow her, lead her, and touch her with Your love.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. To him be the power forever and ever. Amen. 1Peter 5:6-11
