Heavenly Father I praise You for salvation and sanctification. I praise You that You sent Your one and only Son to earth to live as an example for us to follow and died for our sins and then was risen to life again as we know on the third day to demonstrate Your power over death and offer us eternal hope. I praise You that You are not a respecter of men but that You see our hearts and that we are judged, by our thoughts, desires, motives and our actions and words. You know our faults, sins, mistakes and our possibilities.
“Through the Law I am dead to the law, that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God. For if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ died in vain.” [Galatians 2:19-21] So now that I am in Christ I strive to serve daily as a living sacrifice. Holy Spirit guide my footsteps so I go where You want me to go. Lead me to do and say what needs to be done and heard for Your glory. Show me how to see the world and how to notice the areas where I can help progress Your plan and kingdom. Most of all take over my thoughts to keep the wrong ones captive while I learn to think on things that are important to You. Let my heart desire what You desire so I can be in Unity with You and the church. Show me what it is life I am to do.
Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever, Amen.
