Heavenly Father, I praise You for being a God that is in time, above time, and untouched by time. You know the start and finish of all that is in this world, and You hold eternity in waiting for us to join. I praise You for being a God of order and with a plan and purpose for each of us that You created. Help me today to fulfill my purpose and to take command of my day and shake all the evil from it with the assistance of Your Holy Spirit.
Your word says, “This is what the Lord says, ‘In the time of My favor I will answer you and in the day of salvation I will help you.’” “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man, someone might dare to die. But God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the
family of believers.” [Isaiah 49:8; Romans 5:6; Galatians 6:9&10, all NIV]Help me to always have faith and trust in Your timing and not my agenda. Let me be willing and humble enough to accept and continue forward as I pray to see You move. I know you hear me, and I need to trust in you to do what is right when it is right. I am grateful for all the times this has been true in my life so far. From finding a wife to be my life partner, to finishing college while working full time, to getting a house, a teaching job, and having a miracle for a child. I am now getting promoted to Principal after trying for 14 years. You have taught me to trust, and I am still learning to be stronger in this area of life. Continue to fill me with wisdom, understanding, discernment, and to understand joy and hope along the way. I put my trust in You.
Since I am receiving a kingdom that cannot be moved, let me be gracious, by which I may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For God, You are my consuming fire. I will perpetuate brotherly love to continue. I will not forget to entertain strangers, knowing that at times that has meant entertaining Angels unknowingly. I will remember those who have been imprisoned around the world for their faith and join with them in prayer and solidarity. I will stand with and remember those who have been abused, berated, or beaten because of being a child of God, and will identify with them no matter the cost. I will honor my marriage and keep my bed undefiled. I will let God judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. I will use money, but never love it or desire it so that it never interferes with my devotion to God. I will learn to be content with what I have, for I know Your word says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So that I can always boldly proclaim, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear, what can man do to me?” I will remember those who rule over me, who have proclaimed to me the word of God. I will follow their faith, considering the results it has produced in their lives. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In Jesus’ name, I anchor my salvation, amen. [Hebrews 13:28-8, MEV and my paraphrase]
