You Have not Changed

Heavenly Father Malachi wrote For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed. [Malachi 3:6] I am so thankful that You are the constant in all of our lives. Your truth remains no matter the day, year, or minute. My faith rests on the truth of Your Spirit and Your word.

Holy Spirit Your words say, “O Lord, You have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place Your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful and great for me to understand! I can never escape from Your Spirit! I can never get away from Your presence! If I go up to heaven, You are there; if I go down to the grave, You are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there Your hand will guide me, and Your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night—but even in darkness, I cannot hide from You. To You, the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to You.” [Psalm 139:1-12]

Holy Spirit I am learning to know You but thankfully You already know all about me. I ask that You assist me in gaining wisdom to grow each day in knowing who You are and what You expect of me. I desire to have an understanding of how to respond to this knowledge and implement it into my life by how I live, respond, speak, and think every moment I am aware of the day. Let my words, thoughts, and actions all be acceptable to You and be pleasing in Your sight. Help my prayers to always be sincere, to the point, and sent with faith that You are all that I need.

I thank my God always concerning the grace of God which was given to me by Christ Jesus, that I am enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me, so that I come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm me to the end, that I may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom I am called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever, Amen.
