Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good because His mercy endures forever.
Let Israel say, “His mercy endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say, “His
mercy endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord say, “His mercy endures forever.” I called upon the Lord from my distress; the Lord answered me and set me in an open place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can people do to me? The Lord is on my side to help me; I shall look in triumph upon those who hate me. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. All nations encircled me, but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. [Psalm 118:1-10]
Holy Spirit in Your word I have read, listened, and perceived from Your word images
such as: “And I will be like a wall of fire all around her, says the Lord, and I will be as glory in her midst.” “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I was helped; therefore my heart rejoices, and with my song I will thank Him.” [Zechariah 2:5; Psalm 28:7]
Holy Spirit I stand with my spiritual armor on as Ephesians 6 tells us and I carry my shield of faith to protect me which means You stand before me because David said in Psalm 28:7 You are my shield. As I pray, as I live, as I attempt to be fully engulfed in Your Spirit, I must trust that You will step in when I ask to be my shield from the attacks of Satan. Help me to live my life as a living sacrifice, constantly renewing my mind on Your word so that I fully trust,
leaning and living with Christ as my Savior, and the Holy Spirit as my guide and comforter.
Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of
Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever, Amen. (Romans16:25-27)
