Heavenly Father I praise You for being a personal God who looks at each one as a special creation. I praise You for giving us diverse skills, talents, gifts, and histories. I praise You that the body is made up of believers with no stereotype of race, nation, generation or gender. I praise You for being a God of Light which contains all colors.
John wrote to believers that, “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves His child as well. This how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out His commands. In fact, this love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son Of God,” [1 John 5:1-5]
Holy Spirit help us to realize there is no special people who can only come to You, but that anyone of us can. Help us to see that the whole world is going to hell unless they gain the light of God’s salvation though the belief in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice and resurrection to offer us this gift which is on us to accept. Help us to acknowledge our utter dependence on You, the Holy Spirit, to show us how to live, why we live, and to teach us how to follow God’s commands. Help us to know and understand that these commands are to love God with all our hearts, with all our minds and all that we do daily. Let us love our neighbor and to demonstrate brother and sisterly love every day. Instill in us that loving means sacrificing of ourselves to invest in others so that we all can make it to heaven someday.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” [John 3:16-21] Let us be faithful to believe with all our heart and rest upon our salvation from Christ to be faithful and sure.
