Heavenly Father, I praise You that You continue to show us wonders and miracles to help us sustain our faith. I praise You that You continue to confound the foolish in this world. I praise You for your word and for truth. Help me today to take command of my day and, like Job, learn to shake the evil from it.
Holy Spirit Your Word says: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. [2Timothy 3:16&17] We know that from the Dead Sea Scrolls that the book of Isaiah matches the scroll found proving that the scribes were meticulous in making sure they copied each time the words exactly from the original. We know how meticulous the oral tradition was, trained and passed down. Even the Celts did this in their oral history. This is the logic that pairs with our faith. I believe my God, who created the universe and all the intricate details, is capable through the Holy Spirit to make sure that man writes His words correctly.
But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their own ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Some have compassion, using discernment. And others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.
