What Kind of Faith do I have

When I Pray

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:9-13) 

Jesus told us, “I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are assembled in My name, there I am in their midst.” [Matthew 18:19&20] When the disciples fell short and questioned Jesus why they were not able to cast a demon, Jesus answered them, “Because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’, and it will move. And nothing will be impossible for you. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” [Matthew 17:20&21]

Holy Spirit help me to pray and believe what I pray will occur because I pray within Your principles, Your desires, past examples and most of all with You leading me to pray within Your will. Holy Spirit help me to pray in unity so that we can see change in our churches, communities, homes and families. Help me to pray in a way that the world will have to take notice that You are moving in a mighty way. Help me to pray with the faith of Daniel to the point I no longer fear lions. Help me to pray with the faith of Elijah so that I can see You defeat the worthless gods of this generation. Help me to pray with the faith of Peter and John so that I see people saved, healed, and transformed. Help me to make prayer first in my life as Jesus set the example. Help me to pray with a desperation and certainty that Paul and Silas prayed so that I can know You will move on people of other countries. 

Holy Spirit I pray that You will move mightily on the East Michigan Free Methodist Conference this year and help them to select a new superintendent that will lead them and help them to create a new energy and momentum that will move these churches forward into growing Your kingdom. 

Holy Spirit I ask that You would heal Jim Klingenburg and Kayla Smith. I pray for healing for Kathy Denton and Little Trinity. I pray that You would continue to move on my son Joe’s ministry both at Millington Church of God and the Youth for Christ. Help him to not only extend outreach but actually have the opportunity to develop disciples that will go out and spread the good news. Open doors at the high school for Joe to have an outreach with students in the mornings, let this outreach start to have an effect on students to know there is hope and a safe place to come and search out truth. Holy Spirit help the Millington Church of God unite in prayer for their next pastor to come and be their shepherd. 

Holy Spirit I pray with my friends who have teenagers that are in a deep stretch of rebellion right now. I pray with them that Your Holy Spirit will move on these teens and bring them back home and demonstrate the right path for them to walk. I pray that the drugs, alcohol, and apathy they are demonstrating will become unbearable for them to continue. We hand them over to You. I pray for another friend who has an adult child caught up in rebellion and marital problems. We pray for healing and restoration in this situation. 

Holy Spirit I pray that You would move on the women that I coached back in 2017 to set the world on fire with their passion and abilities. I pray they will remember that I pray and care about their futures and that I support them. I pray that You would move on all the teens I have worked with over the years who are now adults to pick up the mantle and be faithful to witness to the next generation.

Holy Spirit I seek wisdom and direction on who, what and how to pray from this day forward. Let my prayers be pleasing but also filled with faith so that I can see the mountains moved, giants defeated, restoration for families, a new spirit of fire taking over pastors and churches and to pray in a way that we see true change. Help me to believe with all my heart, soul and mind that nothing is impossible for You. 

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in 

Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. In Jesus Name Amen. (Ephesians 1:15-23;2:1-10)

For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
