Heavenly Father, I praise You for teaching me, walking with me, and wanting me. I praise You for the wonders of the world that I have seen, heard of, or may yet discover. I praise You for the time I have to grow and know You. I also praise You that even though I am scarred by hard lessons, mistakes, poor judgment, or from unforeseen events beyond my control, You still love me and live within me. Help me today to be like Job and to learn from You on how to take command of my day and shake the evil from it.
Holy Spirit, your word says: Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things visible. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. [Hebrews 11:1; 11:3; 11:6] Faith bold down is trust, do I trust God or not. Adam and Eve sinned because they had doubts and were blinded by the lies of Satan. This world has
sinned for thousands of years because it does not trust that God is who He is and that His ways are righteous, and that our ways lead to death. They trust only what they see, and they trust that death is the end. I trust God is my creator, has made me with a purpose, wants to know me, and that this life is but a vapor and eternity awaits me. I have seen and witnessed God move as sure as I am when the wind blows, or a storm comes. I have seen miracles, I have witnessed evil, and the destruction it causes. I know within my heart that without God, I am nothing and will end up nothing. I stand the way Peter did when the Holy Spirit inspired him to write: But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evil doers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: [1Peter 3:15&16; 1 Peter 2:21] Help me to continue to stand firm in my faith
in the one I believe in. Let me learn to articulate the hope I have so that others may be pricked by Your Holy Spirit to be convicted and desire Your salvation. My faith is all I have left to live on. Guide my footsteps and continue to feed me wisdom and teach me discernment so that I can live my life as a living sacrifice that does and knows Your will. In all my ways, I will acknowledge who You are to me and what You have done for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
