Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire”. [Hebrews 12:28&29] Holy Spirit I am very thankful that the one constant in life is that God’s kingdom will not go away like all earthly kingdoms have in our history.
Holy Spirit as I continue to understand my armor I now look to Paul’s letter to the Ephesians and see that I also possess as part of my armor the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. As Christ used the word to protect himself from Satan when he tried to tempt him after fasting for forty days. Help me to learn, meditate and even memorize Your word so that I can use it to combat temptation, fight against doubt, relax because of promises, and rest in peace with the knowledge of the love and salvation given to me from Christ which is explained in Your word.
Holy Spirit help to remember the most important thing to remember about all Paul wrote to the Ephesians on using my armor in the spiritual war going on every day. Help me to remember to pray, for praying keeps the communication open between me and You. It helps me to ask for Your promises, to seek changing my heart to be like Yours, to find comfort in my troubles, and to intercede for others in need whether for health reasons, mental reasons, or for salvation. Help me to be like the Watchers on the Walls of Jerusalem who would walk their shift watching for any trouble coming to the city, and they would also spend the whole time in prayer interceding for the people of Israel and reminding You of Your promises for all of them. I need to pray with a humble heart for my family, my community, my state and my country. I need to pray for other Christians around the world supporting them in the one way that You gave all of us to do.
Holy Spirit I especially lift up my brothers and sisters in Eswantini who are in desperate need of Your intervention in their country to bring stability, food and water just to help people in this time of emergency. Help those who are taking care of the orphans and the children at the school that Compassionate life supports. Holy Spirit we request a miracle of intervention on their behalf because of their service for what You called “the least of these” in the book of Matthew. Holy Spirit I continue to ask for increase in sales for the books I am putting out so that the profit can go help the orphanage in Eswantini and so people can learn to join me in prayer and learn to claim Your promises for themselves and for their communities. Holy Spirit I also realize none of this is under my control so I submit all of it to Your will and leave it in Your hands to use all that I do for what You desire of me. Help me to remain faithful to the purpose You created me to do in my life as I live a life for Your glory and for Your kingdom. In all that I do may You be glorified and praised. Amen.
