Understanding Growth

How countless are Your works, Lord! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures. Here is the sea, vast and wide, teeming with creatures beyond number—living things both large and small. There the ships move about, and Leviathan, which You formed to play there. All of them wait for You to give them their food at the right time. When You give it to them, they gather it; when You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good things. [Psalm 104:24-28, CSB] 

Holy Spirit Your word says in 2 Corinthians 5 that when I accepted salvation and You in my life, I became a new creature. I was changed and now I am growing as a changed person. I have read in different places where You say we need to become like little children, or as You told one Pharisee, we must be born again. Satan would like me to think that I am not changed because the total sum did not happen in a flash. The truth is I am like a baby, and it will take a while until I am an adult in my faith, wisdom, strength, and character. Our concept of time is so finite or little compared to the Your way of viewing time. 

Holy Spirit, James wrote that we must seek wisdom through You, so I come seeking. I also know that Christ explained that You would be our truth and intercede with Christ who is on the throne in heaven and within us as we are Your living temple to dwell in. Help me to have an understanding of what Christ wants me to know and do in my life so that I live the fullest life I can. Help me to never get tired of seeing the wonder of God and draw my joy, my strength, and my peace of mind from the knowledge of who God is and who He is to me. Let me have a discerning spirit so that I can be like Paul and be what I need to be for You to be seen through me. Help me to continually learn to forgive and to demonstrate Christ’s love for my love is never going to be enough on its own.  

For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21
