Trying to Step Forward

Heavenly Father, I praise You for being my Creator, Redeemer, and my friend. I praise You for seasons and for giving me a mind to think with. I praise You for giving me a purpose and a hope in life.

Holy Spirit, You inspired Paul to write: So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. [Colossians 2:6&7] Even in my time of depression and feeling empty, I try to follow this scripture and continue to march forward. I just need wisdom, and a refreshing drink of Your water that helps the soul. Help me to continue my journey in life and not faulter. Help me to find hope and joy again and teach me what I should do next in life.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1Peter 5:6-11
