Today, I Need Grace and Mercy

Heavenly Father, I praise You for loving us even when we are not so lovely. I praise You for being a God of mercy and grace. I praise You for walking with me and allowing the Holy Spirit to continue to work in me. I continue to need to grow in wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and discernment. I need to learn to take control of who I am and be still in You. Help me to take command of my day and shake all the evil from it.

Holy Spirit, I seek Grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom I give glory forever and forever. [Galatians 1:3-5] I need to take a deep breath in life, stand, and let Your Spirit move on me and help me to bring things back into balance. I need to be slow to anger, but quick to hear. I need to listen better and follow the flow of conversation so I can respond appropriately in life. Help me to be better at seeing, hearing, thinking, and being slow to respond or react to what either offends or is contrary to what I see as proper procedure in how I live with others. Help me to remember that I do not fight, wrestle, or argue with others to prove I am right. I need to do my battles in prayer, for though I walk in the flesh, I do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of my warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. [2 Corinthians 10:3-5] This is where I need to fight. I also need to be about my Father’s business and be praying intercession for my family, and others to know and receive salvation. This should be what occupies my time.

I thank my God always concerning the grace of God which was given to me by Christ Jesus, that I am enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me, so that I come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm me to the end, that I may be blameless in the day of our

Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom I am called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
