Standing Strong in Faith When I am Weak

Heavenly Father, I praise You for today. I praise You for waking me up last night to pray. I praise You that when I take the time to stand still and listen, I realize how small a lot of the drama is that is going on around me. You are a God whom I put my trust in and give praise to daily. Help me today to bridle my tongue, listen intently with both my mind and my heart, be discerning, and take command of my day so I can shake the evil out of my day, be careful of what and how I say things and so I can truly show Your love by hearing Your Spirit speak and others who are trying to get my attention.

Since I am justified by faith, I have peace with You through the death and resurrection of Christ. This gives me access because of my faith to stand with Your grace enveloping me, so I can continue to rejoice for the hope that is in me from the glory of who You are to me. For this reason, I can withstand but find glory in tribulations, which I know ultimately produces patience within me. This patience develops my Godly character, which in turn builds

and makes my hope strong in You. This hope will not disappoint because it is the foundation of Your love within me through the Holy Spirit, which resides in me, a living temple for Jesus to dwell. You, Holy Spirit, were given to each of us who has accepted the gift of salvation, to be with us while Christ sits on the throne interceding for us until our time is finished here or when Christ returns to claim His kingdom here on the earth. Christ came to this earth, died for our sins and weaknesses, and was resurrected to give us hope and strength to overcome our weaknesses and sins. All I have to do is trust, believe, live, and walk as a child of light through the wonderful gift of salvation. [Romans 5:1-6, Paraphrased from the MEV]

Let me remain sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint me to wrath. I will rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything I will do my best to give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for me. I will not quench the Spirit. I will not despise prophecies. I will learn to test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may my Lord Jesus Christ Himself and my God and Father, who has loved me and given me everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort my heart and establish me in every good deed and word. For I know the Lord is faithful, He has established me and guards me from the evil one. And I have confidence in the Lord, both that I do and will do the things He asks of me. Now may the Lord direct my heart into the love of God and into the patience of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen. [1Thessalonians 5:8,9; 1Thessalonians 5:16-22; 2Thessalonians 2:16,17; 2 Thess. 3:3-5]
