Heavenly Father, I praise You for having mercy on people like me. I praise You for giving us the Holy Spirit to teach us wisdom, understanding, direction and discernment. I praise You for teaching me humility even though it is often a very bitter pill to swallow.
Holy Spirit I come before You today, asking that You will watch over, instruct, prompt and fill Eva, Olivia, Emma, Alyssa, Rachel, Katie and many other of the young women I come in contact with. I also ask that You will watch over, instruct, prompt and fill Noah, Joe, Tom, Tyane, Anthony, Marquez, Frank, and Jesse. I first ask for their forgiveness for my generation not being a better example of demonstrating the truth about You. I also ask forgiveness for taking so long to learn how to pick up the mantle and pray for all of them. I seek to be a voice in their lives that will help them see Jesus in a way that gives them hope, inspiration and something to cling to as they live on this very confusing, dark, evil destructive world. I ask You to help me to live a life that will give them boldness to try new things but to be discerning to what is good and bad for them. Help them to find the very purpose You uniquely created them for so that they can find fulfillment in life. Help open their eyes to the wonder of Your creation and Your Spirit. Speak to them so that they know they are cherished and desired. Help them to see that they are worthy to be called Your children if they will only listen to Your voice and accept Your salvation.
Holy Spirit I pray this next generation takes this world and turns it upside down by demonstrating Your love, Your Power, Your Way. Help them to see a relationship not a rule book. Help them to not limit their view of You or put You in some kind of neat box. Help them to grow in wisdom and learn to trust You even when life is very hard and disappointing. Help them to learn that they are Your creation, made specifically for Your plans, and that they are beautiful because they are Yours. Give them the boldness to search, pray and use the word to demonstrate Your power in miracles, wonders, and signs. Help them to pick up the mantle behind me when it is their time. Give them a glimpse of who You are and what they are in You.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given to me all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of God who has called me to His own glory and excellence, by which He has given to me exceedingly great and precious promises so that through these things I might become a partaker of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. For this reason, help me to make every effort to add virtue to my faith; and to my virtue, knowledge, and to my knowledge, self-control; and to my self-control, patient endurance; and to my patient endurance, godliness; and to my godliness, brotherly kindness; and to my brotherly kindness love. For if all of these reside in me and abound, they will ensure that I will neither be useless nor unfruitful in the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord. Help me to diligently make my calling and election sure so that when I add all of these areas into my life I will not stumble and will be able to enter into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which will be abundantly provided for me.
