Heavenly Father I praise You for today. I praise You for helping me get up in the morning and for a safe drive to work. I praise You for the past 20 years that you have kept me safe, especially in the volatile environment I work in. I praise You for helping me face each day, with all that is trying to distract or discourage me. I praise You for friends who are honest with me and speak the truth even if it hurts to face it at times. I praise You for getting me to go through my day while I still bare the burden of grief. I praise you for each day that I go through that I realize life is not the way I thought it would be or what I wanted it to be. I praise You for teaching me how to be a living sacrifice and give myself fully to You, to my wife, and to my family. I praise You for helping me to be loyal and honest to my friends.
Holy Spirit I pray for a hedge of protection around my family, my friends, and the brothers and sisters who pray with me daily. I pray that somehow each day I can utilize the gifts and talents You gave uniquely to me, to help build Your kingdom and to shine Your light of hope in this world. I pray that You give me discernment, passion, and energy to continue to provide prayers from Your word so that I can lead others to get closer to You. I ask that You take my simplicity and multiply it so the world can see Your love, Your power, Your way, and Your healing. I know that in and of myself, nothing can truly be accomplished. Through You as my Savior, King, and Companion nothing is impossible if it is within Your will or Your desire.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. (Amen) (Matthew 6:9-13)
