The Time We Live In

I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Your word says: For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. Just as the rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them. [Isaiah 61:10; Isaiah 55:8&9; Isaiah 55:10&11(The Message)]

Holy Spirit, Christ spoke this: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.” He said this about the Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit for the Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not been glorified. [John 7:37-39] I know that this was all accomplished over 2000 years ago and we live in a time with the presence of the Holy Spirit. I believe in the Trinity and each role that each part represents. I also believe in One God in Three parts. I also know as God told Isaiah, my thoughts are much lower than His thoughts. My comprehension is not complete as God’s is because I am confined by time, and I am not Omnipotent like God.

As the Spirit of Truth, giver of wisdom, the one who speaks to Jesus who is our advocate, I come to You with my petitions. I pray for my family to be safe from both harm and evil. I pray You will continue to pursue my unsaved loved ones. I pray that You will move into our church and help us to have the wisdom and boldness to change our communities. Most of all I seek wisdom on how to be a more effective prayer warrior.

Praise be to You, God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed me in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose me in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love, he predestined me to be adopted as his son through Jesus, by His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which he has freely given me in the One He loves. In Him I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, by the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on me with all wisdom and understanding. And He made known to me the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. In Him I was also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, so that I, who has the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory. And I also was included in Christ when I heard the word of truth, the gospel of my salvation. Having believed, I am marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing my inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Amen. Ephesians 1:3-14
