The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—whom should I dread? When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell. Though an army deploys against me, my heart will not be afraid; though a war breaks out against me, I will still be confident…Lord, hear my voice when I call; be gracious to me and answer me. My hearts say this about you: “Seek His face.” Lord, I will seek Your face. Do not hide Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger. You have been my helper; do not leave me or abandon me, God of my salvation. [Psalm 27:1-9]
Holy Spirit Your word says: You, God did this so that men would seek You and perhaps reach out to You and find You, though You are not far from us ever. “For in You, I live and move and have my being.” As some of our poets have said, “We are his offspring.” For in the gospel, a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” [Acts 17:27&28; Romans 1:17]
Holy Spirit daily I face fear, whether it is of disappointing You, failing to live up to what is expected of me, how I will make it through the day, how I will handle every situation that I must face. My faith rests on my
my belief that You desire us, listen to us, and are a part of our lives. I must believe that Your word is true, that I am completely in Your hands, and that this world is not my home or my finality. I live, because I know the peace, joy, love, grace, and mercy You bring to my life no matter what I face, endure, or am tested by. I also understand that this world is broken, dark, evil, self-absorbed, and headed to destruction and most people are walking the path that leads to hell. I put my trust in You. I will grow my faith from a mustard seed to solid tree firmly planted in Your word, Your Spirit, and in my faith and trust of who You are to me. I have been broken, struggled, tempted, and tested, I have not always been successful in how I have faced this, but I have been successful when I fully look to and trust in You. Help me to continue to turn to You, listen to You, and follow You no matter what.
I pray and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I may walk worthy of You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom, kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by You, all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You for You. And You are before all things, and in You, all things consist. And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. In Your blessed Son Jesus’ name, Amen. (Colossians 1:9-18)
