The Eyes of the Lord

Our Father, which are in heaven, You are worthy of our praise. Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise in the heights! Praise Him all His Angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Psalm The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy. [Psalms 148:1&2; 147:11]

Holy Spirit Your word says: “For the eyes of the Lord move about on all the earth to strengthen the heart that is completely toward him. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his goings. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the hearts. The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge, and He overthrows the words of the transgressor. [2 Chronicles 16:9a; 1 Peter 3:12; Proverbs 5:21, 15:3, 16:2, 21:2; 22:12]

Therefore, let us not sleep as others do. But let us be alert and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we should live together with Him. So comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, just as you are doing. We ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who labor among you, and are appointed over you in the Lord, and instruct you. Esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brothers, to warn those who are unruly, comfort the faint-hearted, support the weak, and be patient toward everyone. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone. But always seek to do good to one another and all. Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Examine all things. Firmly hold onto what is good. Abstain from all appearances of evil. May the very God of peace sanctify you completely. And I pray to God that your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it. Amen. 1 Thessalonians 5:6-24
