Praying or Just talking to God

Heavenly Father I rejoice that I am loved by You. I rejoice for the salvation of Your Son and the continued presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit. I praise You for teaching me enough wisdom to learn how to walk and talk with You each day I am on this earth and take a breath. I praise You for finding joy when so much heartache has occurred. I praise You for the comfort and the building of my faith.

I understand as I develop a relationship with You through the Holy Spirit who dwells within me and I in Him, that praying does not have to be some grandiose or wordplay but just a simple conversation. I like to pray scripture to bathe myself within the words You inspired to be written long before I was formed so that I can have a connection with all the saints before me. I also do prayers on my website to help people learn how to pray your promises and principles so they can grow closer to You and find words to say. I am constantly grateful for my family, friends, and my church. I am blessed that I live in a country that so far allows me to worship You without trying to limit how I worship. I praise You for scriptures that help me understand You better like Isaiah 44:2-8—Thus says the Lord who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you; Do not fear, O Jacob, My servant, and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; and they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses. One will say, “I am the Lord’s”, another will call himself by the name of Jacob; and another will write on his hand, “Belonging to the Lord,” and name himself by the name of Israel. Thus says the Lord the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the Lord of Hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; besides Me, there is no God. Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it, and recount it in order for Me since I appointed the ancient people. And let them declare to them the things that are coming, and shall come. Do not fear, nor be afraid; have I not told you from of old, and declared it? You are My witnesses! Is there a God besides ME? There is no Rock; I know not any. Holy Spirit I know that Christ said that we get living water from Him so that we will thirst no more. Help me to drink deeply of this water and allow it to become the wellspring within me so that my words and my thoughts will be watered and grow from this love and salvation He has given me.

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever, Amen. (Romans16:25-27)
