Heavenly Father, I am very grateful that as my Creator, You know me fully, and because You are God, You can see and know my heart fully. I give You praise for being a God who knows, cares, and walks with me. Just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego when You walked with them inside the furnace of fire, You walk with me during my trials and struggles. You are a God who is present. Help me today to take command of my morning and shake all the evil from it.
“O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thoughts from far off. You search my path and my lying down, and are aware of all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it fully. You put yourself behind and before me and keep your hand on me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is lofty, and I cannot fathom it.” [Psalm 139:1-6] You have created me with a purpose, in Your image, and have instilled within my heart a longing for a relationship with You that is filled with trust, hope, and faith. I have learned how greatly you love me and desire to relate to me daily.
Guide my tongue and what I say and how I say it. Guide my thoughts so that I stay alert, focused, and in prayer constantly. Lead my decisions so that I make wise choices and solid determinations. Help me to pray for those who need intercessory prayer, for those who need healing, and most of all for those who need salvation. Give me discernment on what and when I eat so that I can make healthy choices to keep this temple operating at the best possible level. Above all, I seek to fulfill Your will today in my life and how my life affects the world around me. I am Your living sacrifice to be used as You see fit. May Your glory shine through me and your breath flow from me to others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
