Just From the Heart

Heavenly Father, I praise You for just walking with me and listening to me and knowing my heart. I praise You for Your creative design in all of Your Creation, and I am saddened by so many who feel they are ugly or not right, so they try to make drastic changes. I thank you for teaching me to see past the shell of people and to try to see their heart, their passion, their real personality. Help me to take command of my day and shake all evil from it.

Holy Spirit, I have worked hard to teach and to pray Your word back to You. I also know that You are a very personable God, so often I just talk to You. I am struggling with feeling Your presence right now, and my faith has been tested hard these past few years. I seek to find peace and balance in life, but I fight against the chaos and apathy that the world pushes all the time. I avoid the news just so I don’t become anxious with the newest blow-up or disaster. Help me to take time, breathe in Your word, meditate on Your word, spend time singing or listening to music to uplift my soul, and to help me rejoice in the fact that I am Yours. Help

me to be a steady presence for my family and to constantly pray for their salvation, safety, and growth. Lead me, as David said, “by still waters” so I drink deeply of Your water that refreshes my soul and gives me life.

Holy Spirit, I stand with You inside my heart, as I try to be a living temple for Christ and stand with my spiritual armor fully in place to face each minute of today as life comes at me. Help me to think clearly, trust in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding from You so that I can be discerning and make wise choices and reap from sowing well instead of foolishly. Help me to speak and use words that flow from Your prompting and are not tinged with hate, frustration, evil, or irritation. Help me to speak when I am needed to, but to hold my tongue when I am not fully in control of my thoughts, feelings, emotions, so that I do not harm my family, friends, co-workers, or others. Guide me and let me feel today that You are with me. In Jesus' name, amen.
