Heavenly Father, I praise You for being my mighty fortress with a strong tower to defend me. I praise You for being the God of the universe and God of my life. You made the world, and You were involved in my creation within the womb. I praise You for giving me purpose and direction. I praise You for the Holy Spirit residing within me and teaching me wisdom and how to be productive of spiritual fruit. Help me today to take command of my morning and help me shake all evil from it.
Holy Spirit, Paul wrote that You said: My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [NKJV] or as another translation puts it: My Grace is all you need. My Power works best in weakness.” Now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. [NLT] [2 Corinthians 12:9] It has taken me years to learn the wisdom of this. I have for so many years tried to do things and then let God clean them up. It works so
much better when I let God direct, orchestrate, and do the heavy lifting, and I just walk along working hard at being obedient and abiding within His will. Paul also said: Not that I speak regarding need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things, I have learned both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. [Philippians 4:11-13]
Help me to continue to grow in wisdom and discernment so that I do what You need me to do and that I let You do what You need to do, Holy Spirit, for I want to be continuously in the center of God’s will. Help me to understand as Isaiah did: For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. God will keep me in perfect peace because my mind is steadfast. After all, I trust in You. Christ will be the sure foundation for my time, a rich store of salvation and wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of
the Lord is the key to this treasure for me. I understand that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. So I will not fear, for You are with me; I refuse to be dismayed, for you are my God. You will strengthen me and help me; You will uphold me with Your righteous right hand. [Isaiah 55:8&9; Isaiah 26:3; Isaiah 33:6; Isaiah 40:31; Isaiah 41:10]
Keep me in the palm of Your hand and guide my thoughts, actions, and words so that I honor You daily in all that I do. Amen.
