Heavenly Father, I praise You for today. I give You glory, honor, and praise for being My God and a God who listens and cares about me as well as all of mankind. I praise You for being a Creator who designed us and gives us purpose, uniqueness, talents, and ministries, and then trusts us to grow and use them. I am humbled by the fact that You desire me and to have a relationship with me. Help me today to take control of my day and to shake the evil from it.
“If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” [John 8:36] I am free, but I am also responsible. I know that through Christ I am a new creature and have freedom, but I also understand that I need to be responsible with this freedom so that I am not a stumbling block to others. So that I do not abuse my freedom to cause pain, bitterness, hate, envy, or to assist in helping others to sin. I need to be conscious of my freedom in Christ but not become prideful, conceited, or spiteful towards others. I need to use this freedom to demonstrate the love of Christ and the power of prayer in a way that honors Christ.
I thank my God always concerning the grace of God which was given to me by Christ Jesus, that I am enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me, so that I come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm me to the end, that I may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom I am called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
