Reaching the Lost

Heavenly Father I know from Your word that You want all to be saved and reach heaven but that we have to personally make the choice to accept, follow, serve and communicate with You. I praise You for not only creating us, giving us purpose but allowing us to participate in how the story turns out.

Holy Spirit I have loved ones, friends, and co-workers that I want to lift to You in prayer for their salvation. Peter told us in his letters which we record as 1 Peter 3:18-22: “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. After being made alive, He went and made a proclamation to the imprisoned spirits—to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through the water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities, and powers in submission to him.” I understand that it is in Your will, so we have Your permission to pray for the lost, those who have walked away from the truth, and those who have quit believing.

Holy Spirit I pray for the aforementioned people asking that You would continue to convict them, remove Satan from lying, and blinding them from the truth. I pray that You will demonstrate Your love, Your mercy, and grace to them so that they may have a change of heart and accept Your salvation. My Christmas desire or wish is for the salvation of those I love, I have friendships with, and those I work with. Amen.
