Praise

I will exalt You, my God and King, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unfathomable. One generation shall praise Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty and of Your wondrous works. They shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall abundantly declare the fame of Your great goodness and shall sing of Your righteousness. For You are gracious, full of compassion and slow to anger, and great in mercy. You are good to all, and Your compassion is over all Your works. All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your godly ones shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power, to make known to people His mighty acts and glorious majesty of His kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord upholds who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon You, and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. You are righteous in all Your ways and loving in all Your works. You are near to all who call upon You, to all who call upon You in truth. You will fulfill the desire of those who fear You; You also will hear their cry and will save them. You preserve all who love You, but You will destroy the wicked. My mouth shall speak the praise of You, and let all people bless Your Holy Name forever and ever. [Psalm 145]

Holy Spirit as we get nearer to the time we celebrate the birth of Christ I want to say thank you. I want to praise and say thank you for salvation; for my wife, my children, grandchildren, and extended family. I want to thank You for having a job so that I can help with my wife’s contributions from her job to keep us warm, fed, and able to pay all our bills. I praise You that I am still breathing even though there have been days when I was ready to just give up. I praise You for Your mercy when I make mistakes, when I forget and when I sin and come back for forgiveness.

I praise You for creating me with a plan although I lose sight of this at times. I praise You for helping me to continue to put prayers up for people who get the emails or visit the website. I praise You for a church where I feel at home and feel Your presence. I praise You for our new pastor, his honesty, and his focus on Your word. Continue to give him wisdom, discernment, and passion. Protect his family and keep them covered as Satan is prone to attack those we love the most.

But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their own ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Some have compassion, using discernment. And others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 17-24 (MEV)
