Heavenly Father, thank You for keeping us safe through the storms late last night. Thank you for watching over me while I had minor surgery yesterday. Thank you for helping us with other matters we needed to complete yesterday. Today, help me take command of my day and shake the evil from it.
Your word says, “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe you’ve received it, it will be yours.” “Truly God has listened; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, because He has not rejected my prayer or removed His steadfast love from me!” [Mark 11:24, NLT; Psalm 66:19-20, ESV] I know that when I pray with a humble heart, full of faith, and align it with Your word, not only will You hear me, but You will answer. I also understand that because I have such a small viewpoint in life compared to Yours that I have to release all prayers to Your will as Christ did so that I am fully within Your will in my life. Help me when I pray to have the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to pray and intercede, claiming Your word and promises so that I align myself with Your word, Your will, and Your plan. Help my faith to be strong enough that no matter what or how You answer, I am steadfast in my trust in You.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day, they pour forth speech; night after night, they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voices go out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens, He has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat. The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold, they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Amen. [Psalms 18:2; Psalms 19]
