Allowing the Holy Spirit to Speak to Me and Through Me

Heavenly Father, I praise You for today. I praise You for creation, salvation, and the hope of eternity. I praise You for being a God of all details and knowing us as individuals and all the intricate things that make us, us. Today, help me take command of my day and shake all the evil from it.

Your word tells me that since You came here after Jesus ascended into heaven, You will guide me into all truth. You do not speak on your authority, but that you speak whatever you hear from the Father or Christ, and that you will tell me things that are to come. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to

empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. [John 16:13, MEV; Hebrews 4:12-16] Help me to daily come into the throne room through the Holy Spirit and lay my petitions before the throne. Help me to come with a clear and clean heart so that, as I humble myself before You as a living sacrifice, that I may know Your good and perfect will. Lead me to live righteously and humbly before all people. Let the words I speak, the things I think on, the desires I have align with You so that I may abide in You as Christ did in the Father while here on the earth.

And this is my prayer: let my love abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that I may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Amen. Philippians 1:9-11
