Heavenly Father, I praise You for the scripture in Hebrews: Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. [Hebrews 4:16] I praise You for being a God who hears, loves, shows mercy, and gives us power when we come to You. Help me today to take command of my day and shake the evil from it.
Holy Spirit, through You, I come to the throne room to lay my petitions before the throne at the feet of Jesus. I ask that you would put a hedge of protection and bring peace to the house where my daughter takes care of elderly people. Let Your Spirit flow through and rule in this house. I also ask that You would continue to heal and bring power to Kayla each day. I ask that you give wisdom and courage to my daughter and help her children as they finish the school year. I ask that you heal and restore the marriage of two of my friends who are working through some troubling times and have only been married a year. I pray for friends who struggle with depression and chronic pain. I pray healing and Your will in their lives. I also ask if You would watch over the wedding preparations for my son’s wedding coming soon. Continue to bring peace, mercy, and grace. I also ask that You would watch over my friends who I have at church as they learn to grow in Your wisdom and righteousness. Help Mary and Dave as they prepare for their son’s open house.
For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
