Praying for Thumb Youth for Christ

Heavenly Father I praise You for allowing me and the people who pray with me to pray over groups and churches as well as people. I praise You for the growth and for using my son in Millington to work with teens at his church and in the Youth for Christ organization.

Holy Spirit I ask that You would help Joe and all the other leaders who went on the trip this week to spend time with teens from the thumb area over at a camp by Lake Anne. We ask that You would put a hedge of protection around them to protect them from harm and evil distractions. We ask that You would bind depression, apathy, bitterness from the youth on this trip and loose onto them hope, excitement, and true love. Holy Spirit we ask that You would prick at the heart of these Youth to desire a better life with You at the center. We ask that You would speak through the leaders, speakers, workers and get the attention of these teens. We pray that Your Spirit would inspire the workers to pour out Your Spirit onto these teenagers and give them a good example and model of what it is like to live for You.

Holy Spirit we ask that You would ignite a spark in the teens and leaders in the Thumb Youth for Christ so that revival could begin to spread. Holy Spirit we seek for a renewed hope among all teens in the thumb are of Michigan so that a fire could begin to blaze and cause real change. Let Your love begin the hearts of these teens and reach out to adults, other teens and children until these communities witness true change and Your love.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Holy Spirit help us to bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. Teach us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. And over all these virtues help us to put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since as members of one body we are called to peace. Let us be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. And whatever we do, whether in word or deed, help us to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Amen. Colossians 3:12-17
