Praise is My Worship Today

I praise You, Lord! Praise, O you servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your name. Blessed be Your name, O Lord, from this time forth and for evermore. From the rising of the sun to its going down, Your name is to be praised. You are high above all nations, and Your glory above the heavens. Who is like You, our God, who dwells on high, who looks down on the things that are in heaven and on the earth? You raise up the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, to make them sit with princes, even with the princes of His people. You give the barren woman a dwelling, making her the joyful mother of children. We praise You, O Lord! [Psalm 113]

Holy Spirit I praise You for walking with me and prompting me to stay focused and on track. I praise You for teaching me wisdom from the Word, from watching and listening and from Your quiet voice when I need it the most. I praise Christ for my salvation, for His mercy and grace, and for being my advocate in heaven. I praise You for the sacrifice on the cross and experiencing death. I praise You for the example and words You left for us to emulate. I praise You for reconnecting us to God in a constant relationship without having to go through the temple and giving physical sacrifices and burnt offerings. I praise You for a personal relationship not just a communal relationship.

Holy Spirit I give praise for being made unique and with a purpose, that is solely my responsibility. I praise You for the beauty of creation that is all around me that I can enjoy. I praise You for all that You provide to meet our needs so that we can live without fear. I praise You for letting me give to help others out either from my finances or my time. I praise You for the years I was able to coach and work with Youth. I praise You for my family, my wife, children, grandchildren and the friends I have. I praise You for the wisdom from aunts and uncles, and the friendship from cousins. I praise You for the experiences that have made me who I am.

Holy Spirit I praise You for the hope that You have helped me instill in my heart. I praise You for the time I have had with grandparents, great uncles and aunts, many cousins, uncles, and my son who have all gone on to heaven. I praise You for the accountability I have had from the few churches I have attended. I praise You for the chance to lead others in prayer and how prayer has taken me from a state of anger to peace of mind, from sorrow to empowerment. I praise You for bringing people into my life who believe in me like my wife Doreen. Or like my publicist Jacquetta. For friends who trust me enough to share real life with me and allow me to share real life with them. I praise You for 32 years of walking life with my wife Doreen who had constantly chiseled away at trying to make me a better person because of her faith in me to do more.

Holy Spirit I praise You for the scars I have because they remind me that I have survived despite the pain and hurt I have faced. I praise You for looking at me as a star om the sky. Stars can only shine when there is darkness. Help me to always take time to not only count my blessings but to give You praise for without You and all that You have provided I am nothing. Direct my heart in love and into the patience You demonstrated while here on the earth. My I always give You the glory and praise from my lips, my thoughts and from the songs of my heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.
