Old Fashion is now New Again

Heavenly Father, I praise You for all You have done for me. I praise You for helping me fix and complete reports for the month-end. I praise You for helping me have a chance to enjoy birthdays with my grandchildren and being a part of their lives. Help me today to take command of my day, so through Your Holy Spirit we can shake the evil from it, so I give life righteously.

Holy Spirit, You inspired Solomon to write: Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck and write them on the tablet of your heart. So will you find favor and high regard in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. [Proverbs 3:3-6] Holy Spirit, I have learned over the years from authors who have researched it that if we continue to memorize and meditate on something, it becomes etched on our brain in the neuro pathways and becomes deeply embedded memories that we do not lose very easily. So, as I learn to memorize and

meditate on your word and all the experiences where I have trusted You, it becomes etched into the very thought process or “tablet” of my heart. Help me to daily renew my mind so that this process defines my thoughts and causes a shift in how I think and approach all situations. Let this become the new modern me by using wisdom from so long ago.

For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
