Heavenly Father I praise You for helping me find the pendent of my son Philip last night for my wife. I praise You for getting us through the wedding of my son Joseph. I praise You for keeping me going even when I feel empty. Help me to find my spiritual center again.
Holy Spirit You inspired the writers to write: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. [Proverbs 18:21, MEV; Psalms 34:19, MEV] This past week has been a test of my faith, who I am and how hard it is to keep peace and salvation with the realm of family. Some of my church family disappointed me in not showing grace to the unbelievers of my family, while other church family went far and above in showing grace. This has caused me conflict in where I am and whether my church is the right church for me. James wrote that if we ask for wisdom, You will provide it. I am seeking wisdom as to what I should do next and what consequences will affect those around me. Help me to find peace in whatever decision I ultimately decide. I am not a church jumper and over sixty years I have mostly switched because of moving to new areas to live in. Once, for a fresh start after the loss of my son Philip. So, I take seriously what, where and how I attend church.
I pray that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which He has called me, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people. Amen. [Ephesians 1:18]
