Heavenly Father, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. [Psalms 119:105] I offer praise to You today for enlightening me in Your wisdom through the Holy Spirit. I praise You for opening my eyes to the world and all of its needs around me. I praise You for putting me in a church that serves the needs of many people, both locally and in other countries. I praise You for allowing the profits of my first books to help the orphanage and school in Eswatini. Help me today to take command of my day and shake the evil from it.
You inspired Paul to write to the Ephesians [and to us also] about the Spiritual Armor we should wear. He wrote: having your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace. [Ephesians 6:15] David and Solomon wrote about You being a lamp for our feet or a light for our path that we must walk. Help me today to put at the very foundation of my faith the love of God, that shone through the life of Christ, and is filling my temple from the Holy Spirit to know
true love, forgiveness, which is the gospel of peace. Peace, I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. For if you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this, My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. [John 14:27; John 15:7&8] I, as a follower of Christ, must also teach and pass on this peace from Christ, for it is the only way I can truly be a disciple and follower of Jesus.
