My Faith Still Stands

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has given me a new birth into the living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that does not fade away, kept in heaven just for me, I am protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this I greatly rejoice, even though now, if for a little while, I have to suffer various trials, so that the genuineness of my faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tried by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom, having not seen, I still love and in whom, though I do not see Him now, I believe and I rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, receiving as the result of my faith the salvation of my soul. I will build myself up in my most holy faith. Praying in the Holy Spirit. Keeping myself in the love of God while I am waiting for the mercy of my Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. For I am His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that I should walk in them. I will look to Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Since I have been justified by faith, I have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom I also have access by faith into this grace in which I stand, and so I rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Those of us who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and we will turn the many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!
