My Battlefield

Heavenly Father I appreciate that You have demonstrated through Your word that there is a spiritual war going on around us even though our human eyes cannot see it.  I praise You for giving us armor to protect us, wisdom to learn how to fight or avoid a battle, Your Holy Spirit to be our guide and a spirit within us that can sense what is going on.  I praise You for the salvation that we received from the sacrifice of Your Son on the cross and the victory one when he rose again from death and is alive and setting on Your right hand side with the world under His feet.

Holy Spirit help me to remember that Christ is our great High Priest who has passed into the heavens, let me hold firmly to my confessions before Him. I understand that He can sympathize with my weaknesses and vulnerability because He lived as a man among us for 33 years experiencing temptations, heartaches, joy, all aspects of life, yet He did not sin.  Help to daily come into Your throne room with confidence because of Your grace. Knowing I will find mercy and grace in my times of need. [Hebrews 4:14-16]

Holy Spirit help me to fight my battles by being proactive and demonstrate that I am a child of God because I love God and I keep His commandments which are not burdensome, but helpful to live life without guilt. Let me fully understand and appreciate that being born again through the salvation of Christ I can claim victory that overcomes the world because my victory comes through my faith in Jesus Christ, God, and You the Holy Spirit. [1 John 5:1-5]  Lead me to attack hate, racism, cynicism, by humbling myself, demonstrating love to all people that God created, and to present salvation in how I live, love, work, and speak every day.  Let me be like the stars in heaven and be a reflective light in a dark canvas shining God’s love so that others can find their way and use the light to lead to Christ.

The end of all things is near.  Therefore, be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.  Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.  Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.  If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God.  If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.  To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever.  Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11
