More than We Expect

Heavenly Father I praise You for this last weekend. I praise You for time with my daughter and grandchildren and with my wife and son. I praise You for helping us get my truck working again and for getting a few lights up. I praise You even though I think I am getting sick.

Holy Spirit, Your word says, “This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is His name: ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’” “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than this because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my Name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” [Jeremiah 33:2&3; John 14:11-14]

I have come to learn that even when I do not know what or how to pray, You pray for me. Holy Spirit help me to understand and stand on the faith that praying is a two-way conversation. I need to also understand that sometimes when I feel God is not answering me it may be because of timing or a need for a change in the heart within me. I need to learn to trust beyond my understanding.

Holy Spirit continue to prompt me to pray each morning, noon, and night. Continue to speak into my life and help me to continue to pour my heart out to You. Let my words demonstrate the sincerity of my heart and my desire to become more like You. Let me learn to pray with authority and humility so that I can witness what was written in Jeremiah and John. Let me see, testify and stand upon the fact that when I enter Your court and petition You that Your answers will be well above whatever I could humanly conceive to be right.

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever, Amen. (Romans16:25-27)
