Heavenly Father I praise You for Your word for it is true, it gives us a glimpse of who You are, and gives us testimonies of those who lived before us in faith. I praise You for the wisdom to understand the praying practice that King David established in Jerusalem, where he had the watchers on the wall constantly praying and praising God for the promises He had made over Jerusalem.
Holy Spirit, help those who are sick, those who have cancer, to learn to pray what Jeremiah prayed: Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. [Jeremiah 17:14] Help me to remember that You answer on Your time, and some of us will not see healing until we see You in heaven. I, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, say that if You decide not to do this now, but later, I will still serve the Lord and keep my hope and faith in You.
Praise be to the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts me in all my troubles, so that I can comfort those
in any trouble with the comfort I myself have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into my life, so also through Christ my comfort overflows. If I am distressed, it is for my comfort and salvation; if I am comforted, it will produce in me patient endurance of the same sufferings other Christians have suffered. Grace and peace will come to me from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for my sins to rescue me from the present evil age, according to the will of my God and Father, to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen, Amen. [2Corinthians 1:3-7; Galatians 1:3-5]
