Heavenly Father, I praise You for today and for walking with me and lighting my path. I praise You for being that still quiet voice when my life is like a loud passing freight train. I praise You for allowing me to know real peace while I live in a world of chaos, noise, and hurry.
Holy Spirit, help me to just take a breath, a step, and allow You to renew my mind, give peace to my heart, and remind me of the hope I have that grounds my faith in You. Let me be still and know You are God. I will cast my cares and anxieties on You. Let me seek wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and discernment to survive my journey through life. I have so many responsibilities, demands, and noise invading my life today from so many outside influences that if I did not have You as my center, I would be overwhelmed. Keep me upright and putting one foot in front of the other. This way, I can maintain peace and calm in a world that does not know this could exist.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.
