Intercession Part 2

Heavenly Father, I come before You and give You honor, glory, and praise for all things that come from You. You have created me to be a free-willed thinker, and yet You desire to have a relationship with me. I am learning to abide in You so that You can abide in me. Help me today to take command of this day and shake the evil from it, and to be a spiritual umbrella for my family.

Holy Spirit, I humble myself and seek to live a life that is a living sacrifice before God. I will do my best to be the living temple that allows you to witness to others. I seek today, as an intercessor and as a watcher on the wall, salvation for every member of my family, my neighborhood, and my community. I seek to pray healing for people like Kayla, Ann, and Chris. I seek blessings for Emma and Turner, Emmerson and Mike, as they prepare to get married this year. I hope you will show wonders and miracles to many of my young adults, like Dallas, Akira, Olivia, Quinten, Naomi, and Noah. I seek that You open the eyes of many of the young adults I pray over to see the reality of who You are

and the need for salvation, wisdom, understanding, and discernment instead of the perception the world tries to deceive them with. I seek healing for the families in my community and in my own family for the loss from suicides, divorce, and abuse. I seek to be an intercessor who tries to build into people’s lives, not condemning or destroying them or their spirit. Help me not to cause harm to others so that they become bitter and hateful of You, O Lord. Let the words I speak, the way I conduct my life, my attitude before people, my attention to others, and their needs be honoring and serving to You and building Your kingdom.

Help me to truly emulate, believe, and portray the sentiment of the Psalmist who wrote: “I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech. Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise against them. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings. (Amen) (Psalms 17:6-8)
