Heavenly Father I praise You for being my God and for caring about me. I praise You for sending the Holy Spirit after Jesus’ ascension to the throne in heaven. I praise You for the comfort and strength he gives me daily to continue my journey.
Holy Spirit I come before You and with You I enter the throne room and place my petition before Christ. I first ask that if any wicked thing or sin is in me that You would wash it away from my heart and being, so that I can offer my petition blameless before You. Holy Spirit after 18 years I once again find that I have cancer. I ask that You would heal me from this cancer if that be Your will. I also ask that You would give clear direction to the doctors on what to do and the proper course of action. I also ask that You would help me to stop bleeding from a small hole in my body so I can heal from my surgery and not get any infection. Finally, I ask for direction of what is You want me to do next while I go through this particular valley. I declare that my trust is in You and that I am leaning on Your Spirit to lead me in my faith so I can once again face this giant.
Help me to put on my armor once again and wear it well. Help me to sturdy up my breast plate of righteousness and guard my heart and spirit. Help me to raise my shield to thwart off all the arrows of doubt that Satan hurls at me. Help me to once again place the helmet of salvation on my head so that all will know that I am covered by Your mercy and grace. Let me put on the shoes of peace and run swiftly the race before me leaving nothing behind. Help me to brandish my sword, Your word to sustain and defeat any anxiety, fear, or doubt that comes towards me. Though I have been battered and knocked off my feet multiple times this past year I pray that Your Spirit will once again help me to stand and face life with all that is within me. Help me to demonstrate love, faith and strength no matter where this journey takes me next.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given to me all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of God who has called me to His own glory and excellence, by which He has given to me exceedingly great and precious promises, so that through these things I might become a partaker of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. For this reason help me to make every effort to add virtue to my faith; and to my virtue, knowledge, and to my knowledge, self-control; and to my self-control, patient endurance; and to my patient endurance, godliness; and to my godliness, brotherly kindness; and to my brotherly kindness love. For if all of these reside in me and abound, they will ensure that I will neither be useless nor unfruitful in the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord. Help me to diligently make my calling and election sure so that when I add all of these areas into my life I will not stumble and will be able to enter into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which will be abundantly provided for me.
