Heavenly Father I praise You for all that You have created and for how You love us. I praise You for being a personable God making each of us unique with specific abilities and purpose. I praise You for allowing us to talk to You and be led by the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit You inspired Paul to write: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. [Ephesians 2:8-10] I have purpose and it was decided long before I came into existence. This is truly one of the wonders God has done for me and all of His creation.
Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain! [1Chronicles 4:9&10] Let the words I speak bring life not death, salvation not ruin. Help my actions be righteous and that as I humbly live, I serve You with all my heart, mind and soul. With my name written Your book of Life so that I may one day come home and live in heaven with You. Amen.
