Heavenly Father, I praise You for today and for the life that You have breathed into me. I praise You for being a God who has covered me with salvation through the blood of Christ so that my sinful man is no longer what You see. I praise You for being a God who wants a relationship with me.
Isaiah said: Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord Himself, is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation. [Isaiah 12:2] I desire to immolate Isaiah and have a double blessing of his spirit from God on being a servant who listens, understands, discerns, and then speaks. I desire to learn the heart of God, and I realize that, like Isaiah, I am a man of unclean lips. Help me to claim the words of Isaiah when You inspired him to write: So, do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You. And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore. But your eyes shall see your teachers. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might. He increases strength. [Isaiah 41:10; Isaiah 26:3; Isaiah 30:20&21; Isaiah 33:6; Isaiah 40:29]
Let me live a life that is uniquely me as You designed me to be and live. Help me to fulfill my purpose. Help me to build on the foundation of the people who served You before me. Let me gain wisdom and learn to live in the same faith as all the people whose testimony I have drawn strength from in Your word. Let my light shine so I can be like them in reflecting Your glory to a dark world and spread the good news and give hope to those who have no hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
