Heavenly Father, I praise You today for making it to work safely in all the snow. I praise You for creating within me the ability to learn and be wise so that I can be safe and keep others safe. Help me today to take command of my day and shake the evil out of it and from me.
Holy Spirit, You inspired Paul to write: “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” [Romans 3:21-26] Through my faith and acceptance of salvation, I rely on the perfection and righteousness of God and, with Your inspiration, do my best not to sin and live as holy and fulfilling of my purpose and God’s will as I can. Knowing that this walk is not always smooth because of my ignorance and stubbornness at times. I can only humble myself and ask for Your continued involvement in my walk so that I can be who You desire me to be.
I will devote myself to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And I will pray for my pastor and church leaders, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for our community to find and know our savior. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly as I should. I will do my best to be wise in the way I act toward outsiders, making the most of every opportunity. I will do my best to let my conversation always be full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that those I teach may know how to answer everyone. [Colossians 4:2-6] In Jesus Christ, Amen.
