Heavenly Father I praise You for being my Creator, Father, Savior, Judge, Companion, and Soul Seeker. I praise You for desiring a relationship with me when I am not much when it comes to what the world sees. I know that my own wisdom is very limited but through Your Spirit, I have a wisdom that has been around even before the Universe was made.
Holy Spirit the author of Hebrews was inspired to write, “By faith Enoch was taken to heaven so that he would not see death. He was not found, because God took him away. For before he was taken, he had this commendation, that he pleased God. And without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” [Hebrews 11:5&6] Let my faith become so deep, because of my diligent search of knowing God as much as my humanity will allow that I will please You with who I am.
Holy Spirit help me become a person of faith that will be willing to suffer as Paul and Silas, yet rejoice. That I will step out of the boat like Peter. That I will take on the giant when everyone else cowers. I will be known for my different spirit like Caleb who seen what You could do through him instead of what he could not do himself. Let me be like Daniel and pray even if I need to spend a night with lions, or like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who were thrown into a fire so hot that it killed the men who threw them in, yet they walked with God. Let me stand firm like Elijah and pray so fervently that a miracle such as a well-watered altar could be consumed by fire, or a drought brought on for three years and then rain after more prayer. Let me have faith to fast and pray with a broken heart until I can see Your church restored to what it was in the time when Luke wrote Acts, like Nehemiah prayed to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Let my faith be so that I am willing to speak when You seek a speaker like Isaiah. And let me have a faith that is willing to stand with my brothers and sisters in Christ even if it means the death of my body or reputation.
Holy Spirit as You walk with me and lead me, teach me to be pleasing to God so that I can feel my faith strengthened and my prayers heard. Let me pray and study until I show myself approved, and ready to lead others with my holy armor into the spiritual battle going on around us. Let my eyes see as Elisha saw. Most of all help my unbelief become a complete belief.
I will constantly pray, that my God may count me worthy of his calling and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of mine and every act prompted by my faith. I pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in me, and I in Him, according to the grace of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Finally, brothers and sisters, pray for all of us who pray united, that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect us from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that we are doing and will continue to do the things He commands. May the Lord direct our hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance….Now may the Lord of peace himself give us peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
